Gridcoin (GRC) is an open–source token obtained as a result of the Litecoin fork. It works with the help of the Proof of Research consensus mechanism, which allows cryptographically verifying computing tasks of the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) and receiving cryptographic tokens as a reward for completing tasks.

Due to no stats exports for 3+ days (last export is dated the 23rd), Asteroids@Home will be greylisted with the next superblock.

The scientists behind the Microbiome Immunity project have submitted a paper to a journal dealing with the data analyzed by #BOINC volunteers.

Gridcoin has just had a successful protocol update! From now on, any #BOINC cruncher, regardless of team, can earn #gridcoin for their work. Solo cruncher must send a new beacon within the next 2 weeks to not lose any past unclaimed rewards.
