Gridcoin (GRC) is an open–source token obtained as a result of the Litecoin fork. It works with the help of the Proof of Research consensus mechanism, which allows cryptographically verifying computing tasks of the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC) and receiving cryptographic tokens as a reward for completing tasks.

The #BOINC project @WCGrid has started the data transfer to @KBI_UHN. Since February 14, no new work units are produced and as of February 27, no more WUs can be uploaded. The transfer should be completed by April 22nd.
